         Guiseppe Rossi has been included in the Italian squad for a friendly against Greece in Athens

        on the 19 November 2008. The manager of Italy, Marcello Lippi, believes the young striker to be

        capable of emulating the feats of Paolo Rossi who was exceptional in the 1982 World Cup.

         Still only 21, Guiseppe, to quote Lippi, " has earned a level of experience which is really rare for

        a player of his age. He has already played in three important leagues, the English, Italian and Spanish.

        He is mature and ready to play with the national team on a regular basis."

         Rossi made his debut for Italy in October against Bulgaria.
